ED Mnangagwa received donations towards Cyclone Idai victims from South Africa this morning.The donation comprises 34 000 tonnes of mealie meal and is the first consignment of aid pledged in March 2019 by South Africa in response to an appeal from the Zimbabwe Government.
South Africa, through the African Renaissance & International Cooperation Fund (ARF), pledged R50 Million in humanitarian support to Cyclone Idai victims in Zimbabwe.The fulfillment of the pledge had been hampered by Covid19 outbreak but should now be completed by September 2021.
