We have a concern here in Nkulumane 12. We have been suffering without water for the whole of last year. The rain came and dams have water that can last us the next season, but our city fathers choose to deliberately and strategically empty our water reservoirs through digging pipes breaking them and leaving them leaking.
Not even leaking gushing out to fill our ground with water but not our taps. This I say is deliberate bcoz I have personally reported at the Nkulumane housing office and their sub-office near Queen Elizabeth Primary. They told me they are going there to fix the problem, but never did.
It’s more than a week now. I only see water on the ground my house is full of trenches full of water. To me, this is sabotage, irresponsible and poor management of so valuable resources. I even reported thru the Byo city council WhatsApp facility.
They gave me a ref number and that didn’t help. Now I don’t know for how long will I be wresting with such a precious commodity which I wish can come out thru my taps into my house. But this seems an unending nightmare. No one cares. I am concerned.
Very soon they will be rationing the honorable citizens who always have to pay for the city council’s negligence. Please help. Am in the house no. 8704 Nkul 1. Am afraid my house will be damaged by water and also that my house has become a health hazard.
