Robert Mugabe has pooh-poohed the
fine that was imposed on his widow
Grace on Thursday by a traditional
Ieader, for burying Zimbabwe’s long-time ruler at his Kutama Village homestead.
This comes after Chief Zvimba fined the erratic former first lady five beasts and two goats in absen-tia, for burying Mugabe in his courtyard at his rural
home in September 2019-which is said to be contrary to the customs of the area.
The Mugabe grave brouhaha followed a complaint to Chief Zvimba earlier this month by a local villager, Tnos Manongovere, who is said to be a
distant relative of the late former president.
It was in this light that Chief Zvimba had proceeded to summon Grace to his traditional court at Murombedzi Growth Point, to answer to the allegations on Thursday.
