HIGH Court judge Esther Muremba has postponed Vice President Constatino Chiwenga’s divorce hearing to July 15 to allow the politician’s estranged wife, Marry, who is currently hospitalised, to attend the proceedings.
Chiwenga’s lawyer Lewis Uriri yesterday consented to the application for postponement after establishing that Mubaiwa was indeed ill and admitted at a private hospital in Harare.
Chiwenga filed for divorce in December 2019, days after giving Marry a divorce token. Marry, however, said the divorce token had not been accepted, adding that Chiwenga was seeking to end the marriage based on paranoia.
