Chegutu West legislator Dexter Nduna has filed a court application seeking to compel the Chegutu Rural District Council (CRDC) to allocate residential stands to the less privileged.
In the application filed before the Chegutu Magistrates’ Court last week, Nduna and Tapfumanei Wunganai cited CRDC, the acting town clerk, auditor general Mildred Chiri and the Chegutu messenger of court as respondents. According to the application, the CRDC is currently in possession of a piece of land that it plans to allocate to residents who are on the waiting list, but Nduna argued that the task to allocate the stands should be given to a third, impartial party.
